A lot of businesses come to us knowing they want to automate something but not sure what, in what order, or whether the tools they've been sold are even the right fit. Advisory is where we start those conversations. It's lower-risk than jumping straight into a build, and it means when we do build something, we're building the right thing.
We do operational audits, technology stack reviews, and automation roadmapping. The output is a clear picture of where your team's time is going, what the highest-value automation opportunities are, and a prioritised plan for addressing them. Some clients stop there and implement themselves. Most use it as the foundation for an implementation project.
WHAT THIS INVOLVES
We map your current processes as they actually work. We interview the people doing the work, identify where time is being lost, and quantify the impact. You'll know exactly where the bottlenecks are and what fixing them would be worth.
We review the tools you're using, how they're configured, and whether they're the right fit for where your business is going. We'll flag tools that are creating more complexity than they're solving, and identify gaps where the right tool doesn't exist yet in your stack.
A prioritised list of automation opportunities, ranked by impact and implementation effort. Not every automation is worth building - some have a return in weeks, others would take months to build for marginal gain. The roadmap helps you make that call clearly.
If you decide to move forward with a build, we scope it properly. What exactly gets built, in what order, what integrations are involved, what the timeline looks like, and what it will cost. No surprises downstream because we didn't think through the dependencies upfront.
WHO IT'S FOR
Advisory suits businesses that are earlier in their automation journey, or ones where something's gone wrong with a previous automation attempt and they want to reset with a clearer strategy. It also works well for businesses that are evaluating whether to hire in-house technical staff versus using an external partner: the audit gives you the information to make that call properly.
WHY ADVISORY
You know exactly where the time and money is being lost before committing to a build
Avoids building the wrong automation which is more expensive than not automating at all
Clear prioritisation means you tackle high-impact opportunities first
Technology decisions made with full information, not vendor sales pitches
Engagements typically completed in 1–2 weeks
QUESTIONS
Typically 1–2 weeks. We start with discovery interviews, usually 2–3 sessions with the people actually doing the work, not just management. We then spend time mapping, analysing, and building the output. The deliverable is a written report and a working session to walk through the findings and answer questions.
Yes, but honestly rather than with any affiliate motive, we don't get paid by vendors to recommend their products. If the tool you're currently using is fine, we'll say so. If there's a better fit for your situation, we'll explain why and what the migration overhead would look like.
That's a common situation. We can review what's been built, assess whether it's the right approach, identify risks or gaps, and either suggest improvements or validate that things are on the right track. Sometimes the most valuable outcome is just having someone who knows the space confirm that what you're doing makes sense.
